About me
Dr. Ronald Faller serves as Director and Research Professor for MwRSF at UNL. For nearly 38 years, he developed, crash-tested, and evaluated roadside safety features to meet current safety standards, such as longitudinal barriers, impact attenuators, breakaway supports, and WZTCDs. He co-developed the Midwest Guardrail System, the SAFER Barrier, and AASHTO’s MASH evaluation criteria. He received the 2020 Kenneth A. Stonex Roadside Safety Award and became a 2022 National Academy of Inventors Fellow. Dr. Faller received B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Civil/Structural Engineering.
