About me
Alex Campbell is Director of Engineering Solutions for AnyWay Solutions, a global company specializing in providing advanced engineering solutions to road projects. He completed his undergraduate degree in chemistry at the University of Western Ontario (Canada) prior to graduate work in geochemistry at the University of Cape Town (South Africa) and in pavement engineering at the University of Waterloo (Canada). He currently resides in Ontario, Canada, but travels throughout the developing world sharing his knowledge.
His areas of expertise centers around pavement engineering and minimizing the environmental impact that road projects have on the environment through application of advanced satellite technology for road surveys, using locally available or recycled materials in road rehabilitation, and adopting a hands-on approach to solving pavement and road-related problems. He is a global expert on soil stabilization and is involved with the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Low-Volume Roads Committee and the Stabilization of Geomaterials and Recycled Materials Committee. Alex has worked in over 30 countries over the past 25 years on various road-related projects and is currently working in projects throughout Papua New Guinea, Ghana, Rwanda, Costa Rica, Israel, and the Philippines. He has published numerous papers, lectured, and given courses on various aspects of Pavement Engineering, Asset Management, and Soil Stabilization.
