During my first 2 years as SDOT Director, we broke ground on 150 projects focused on making Seattle streets and bridges safer and more walkable, bikeable and transit friendly.
Specialties:
-Urban design to support walking, cycling, public transit and placemaking
-Launching, troubleshooting and accelerating capital projects to maintain and modernize public streets and infrastructure
-Climate change adaptation for cities, with a special focus on urban forestry and mitigating Urban Heat
-Reducing carbon emissions and air pollution emissions of municipal fleets
-Deploying cloud-based and location-based technologies for mobile workers
-Setting quantitative outcome goals for strategic initiatives
-Improving the effectiveness of boards, executive teams and business units
-Storytelling via communications, branding and social media
